Types of Fire Sprinkler Systems

We are able to install, inspect, service, and repair all types of fire sprinklers.

Dry Pipe

Buildings found in low-temperature areas or settings are an ideal candidate for a dry standpipe system. Pressurized air or nitrogen gas is contained in the pipes which are connected to a water source. upon fire activation, this air or gas is discharged from the pipes, allowing the water to flow through the piping into the sprinkler heads.

Wet Pipe

These systems are cost-efficient and a low-maintenance solution.  These are also some of the most common systems due to quick reaction time. Water is constantly flowing in these systems. The fire sprinkler heads will instantly react when the heat threshold is broken, causing them to activate. These are ideal for high rises and office building structures.

Pre-Action

Pre-Action systems are ideal for buildings or settings where unnecessary water damage can be problematic and costly, such as locations with heavy electronics like laboratories or data centers. Consider these systems as a hybrid of wet and dry pipe. The pre-action valve will activate when an independent monitoring or detection system, such as a smoke or heat detector, detects a fire. Once the valve opens, water flows into the dry pipe into the sprinkler head.

Deluge

These systems are ideal for buildings that have a bigger potential for fires spreading quickly, such as industrial locations or high-rise buildings. This system features unpressurized dry piping and open sprinkler heads. An external or independent heat or smoke sensor is required to activate the deluge valve which will release water into the piping.

Fire Sprinkler Systems Save Lives and Property

Fire Sprinkler Systems fall under the active fire protection (AFP) category. These systems are active components of a domestic, commercial, or industrial building's fire protection systems. Believe it or not, fire automatic fire sprinklers have been in use around the USA since 1874!

Automatic fire sprinklers immediately activate and respond to a fire in its early stages. They are accepted as being one of the best lines of defense for fighting the early spread of fires before they cause damage.

Newer constructions tend to burn faster than those of previous generations. When it comes to keeping your property and family safe, every second counts in the event of fire danger.
